For a HOSTEL, this place is great. Staff are friendly. Sheets are changed and bathrooms are cleaned every day. Beds are acceptably comfy. Incense sticks are put up to freshen up the air.

Bathrooms are acceptable, though it seemed like only one had hot water. The only variable you can't control is the guests; though I'll say I was pretty lucky: those whom I happened to stay with were relatively considerate.

I stayed here 2 days separately in one week. It was over thanksgiving week and the place was super quiet. I have stayed in a lot of hostels. I was pleased for the opportunity to chill and have alone time but was also disappointed that no one in the hostel seemed to want to socialise and I get the sense that a lot of people are not there on holiday. I think the vibe is that people keep to themselves. There are also a few locals staying for various reasons and some weird vibes with the people. Both times I stayed, there was someone in my room who would be asleep all day and then go out to work at night. One woman in my room was sleeping all day, then turned the lights on at 11pm as she had ordered food. She ate it in the room and her phone was pinging with notifications all night. I asked her to put it on silent but she didn’t. I think there should be some ground rules for longer term guests.

The staff are super nice and helpful and provided recommendations for what to do during my stay.

There aren’t many places to eat/ groceries within walking distance which feels restrictive. Although it is around 15 min walk to the metro station.

I was disappointed with the breakfast and ended up eating my own food as both times I stayed there, cereal and oats was put out but there was no milk! Breakfast was supposed to be from 7am but this morning the staff didn’t put it out u til 8am and I had to put the coffee on myself as I had to leave earlier than 8am.

I think they should empty the trash cans daily as there were some fruit flies in the kitchen and the bathroom bin was kind of gross.

Overall it was fine but I probably wouldn’t go back.

After reading several reviews before my trip, I had some reservations about what my experience at this place would be like.
However, it was a pleasant surprise. Honestly, upon seeing the place and knowing the employees, I think many of the reviews are exaggerated.
I consider that for a hostel, the facilities are in good condition, the employees are quite responsible and friendly.

My best advice would be for anyone to keep in mind the idea that this is not a hotel, that everyone who stays is a responsible adult and has to be considerate of others.

For example, one day, I woke up at 6 a.m. because a guest had dragged all his suitcases down the stairs. I'm not going to blame the hostel for that; it's clear that this was part of the other guest's consideration.

So, if you understand that this is a Hostal and that you need to be responsible for yourself and clean up after yourself, I think this is a great place to stay; if you are not going to clean after yourself and think of the people around you, please pay for a Hotel to avoid being a Karen.

My review will not be about the location or the rooms because I didn’t get a chance to even see them. I booked the hostel, I paid. Later, they asked for verification of travel, which didn’t say before I did the payment. I’m a resident in an emergency, looking to stay in a hostel. But they wanted me to prove that I’m on vacation, which I was not. Here is a screenshot of my messages. They never replied. I asked for help, they didn’t help. I ask for a refund, they didn’t refund. I had to call the bank because they wouldn’t give me my money back.
Yeah it may not be all their fault because I booked with booking.com, but still, the way they responded in both messages and calls, says a lot about their hostel. I will NEVER book again with this place. And I warn you. Don’t waste your time or money with this service.

Firstly, don’t let Booking dot com double the price. Book directly. Secondly, what a great option for a single traveler seeking a safe and conscious space on a budget with clean and comfy bedding, towels and bedding provided.
