Siamo stati ospiti a casa Ambra per una breve vacanza di 4 giorni, che dire? Il posto è a pochi passi dalla piazza principale di Cortona. Dalla finestra la vista sulla piazza è davvero spettacolare. L'appartamento è ben curato e pulito, inoltre lo staff è gentile e disponibile. Un luogo dove torneremo volentieri.

Bellissimo appartamento nel centro di Cortona

My recent stay at this Italian hotel was nothing short of disappointing. The journey began with unclear directions to the hotel, and no mention of the possibility of fines for driving in certain areas. It was only during check-in that I was informed about this, which unfortunately resulted in an encounter with the police. My advice: don't rely on Google Maps for directions here.

The breakfast situation was just as bad. The options were extremely limited, and even though my friend and I were the only ones in the small breakfast room, the hostess made no effort to provide us with any sense of privacy. She even refused to leave the room when we asked. While they did offer vegan choices upon request, these options were poorly thought out and unappetizing.

To add to the disappointment, the hotel was unable to provide us with extra towels for the pool and instead tried to sell us towels for an outrageous 25€. The room itself was tiny and oddly laid out, lacking essentials like a table or a safe. It's worth mentioning that the room seemed to be hastily converted from a former apartment and was accessible only through a complex series of staircases.

All things considered, I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel. The unfriendly, unprofessional, and inflexible attitude of the staff during checkout only further solidified my negative impression of this establishment.

Disappointing Experience, Not Recommended

My stay at this hotel in Italy left much to be desired. First, the directions provided were unclear, and there was no warning about potential police fines for driving in restricted areas. It was only during check-in that I was informed about this, resulting in an unexpected encounter with the police. Definitely avoid using Google Maps to navigate around.

The breakfast experience was equally disappointing. The selection was very limited, and despite being the only guests in the small breakfast room, the hostess did not provide us with any privacy.
