A delayed flight meant that we arrived in the dark which wasn’t easy. The location is lovely, about half an hour north of Florence. Our rooms were spacious and well equipped, we had a pleasant view over the first fairway and beyond. The hotel is made up of several two storey blocks creating an air of spaciousness.||There was plenty of car parking available.||We found all of the staff very helpful.||Breakfast was adequate with the option of being inside or out. The food in the evening was fine, though not an extensive menu.||We played golf during our stay and enjoyed the lay out of the course. It was a good challenge. Greens and fairways were good, though the presence of clover in the semi rough did hide golf balls slowing things down. In places the buggy track needed some maintenance. That all said we enjoyed our rounds.||One small moan was the poor availability of water once you had started you round. The only option was a trip to the pool bar from the 9th green, a significant walk.

The hotel is located in one of the most beautiful valley of Mugello. We had a room with a postcard-like view on the golf course and the Tuscan hills and mountains in the background. Staff is friendly and competent. The main waiter at the restaurant is somehow over-zealous and we found his manners not quite polite. The absolutely impeccable dinner make all that forgettable. Not cheap but still strongly recommended.||WiFi is poor. Not reliable for business. One should also check when maintenance of the park is happening as we were quite abruptly awaken by the noise of a lawnmower operating just few meters from the room.

The location of this property is probably unbeatable. Rooms are spacious, bathroom neat and clean. No WIFI reception in the room. We were right opposite of tee box 1 with a great view. The public areas outside of the restaurant are in need of some maintenance. Dining outside is very pleasant although I recommend that you reserve this although this seems not to be necessary according the staff. We had an unpleasant discussion with what seem to be the restaurant manager who needed some convincing that we would like to eat outside on a great warm day in July. In a great setting overlooking the course, with candles. And suddenly loud rock music as background music. Asking to change this as this was totally out of tune, they only turned down the volume. This is a great opportunity for the restaurant to improve the ambience. Our "restaurant manager" was also not further interested in us guests. Some of the waitering staff we found just "doing a job" with one exception our waitress Xoana. Hotel staff is efficient and very friendly. Besides these small incidents we had a good stay.

The rooms were huge and comfortable with a generous balcony over looking the Golf Course. The king sized bed's were super comfy and the free WiFi worked brilliantly in the room. The gym was fine and had all the equipment you'd expect in a hotel gym - just needed water and small towels which weren't provided.||||The staff were superb both at reception and the restaurants - being Gluten Free they looked after us incredibly well - the breakfast, lunch and dinner were all sublime. The outdoor setting for dinner is unrivaled. We were given great recommendations to eat out too in the nearby towns - thoroughly recommend Pizzeria I' Regolo.||||The 'better half's' played golf whilst we enjoyed the loungers poolside (there were always more loungers than people regardless of the time of day) - it was beautifully tranquil, the pool (25m) was very clean and great for swimming. The smaller jet pool was ideal for a quick dip to cool down.||||A big thanks to all the staff at Poggio Dei Medici for making our stay so memorable - we will be back!

This hotel was selected by our golf tour operator. It is conveniently located a short distance from Florence but if flying in from England I would suggest Bologna as it is very easy to find once you have left the autostrada (1 hour drive).||I was fortunate enough to have a suite but the rest of my party were more than satisfied with the rooms that had been allocated. The view from the terrace/balcony overlooking the 4th green was a real pleasure to wake up to in the morning.||All the staff were very helpful.||If I had a criticism it would be that the restaurant did not vary its menu all the time we were there., nor did they offer any daily specials that might have swayed our decision as to where to eat (we only ate there twice during our 8 night stay). Conversely, the breakfast could not have been better with more choice than you could imagine catering for everyone's particular favourite dishes.
