The lady at the front desk was pleasant and accomodated us checking in a little bit early. She did tell us they were remodeling because the building was very old. One of the elevators smelled like cigarettes, the hallway was extremely hot and one of the closet doors in our room wouldn't open. Despite those things, it was a pleasant visit. We stood 1 night, the room was clean & cool and the breakfast was good (had plenty of options and space to eat).

The staff in the front were great despite it being such a late check in. It would be great if we could communicate with the front desk instead of some random operators who made the process difficult, initially. Room for 2 nights was good. AC was great. Thankfully room had microwave and fridge. View was a plus! Thanks! Will continue as a rewards member!

The hotel is super outdated. The entire room felt gross, the bathroom looked nasty and really needs a touch up, the ceiling on top of the shower looks like the mold was painted over, there was no room service provided daily, and all the furniture there is torn and worn out. I would not recommend for anyone. Definitely not worth any money spent. The only good thing was the front staff they were actually friendly.

Although this La Quinta property location is very conveniently located only a few minutes from San Antonio International Airport, this is exactly the only thing it offers in my opinion. The front desk staff was accommodating and pleasant to deal with. However, the condition of this property’s interior, its rooms and elevators are in poor condition. The rooms and hallways were falling apart, emergency exit signs missing faceplates and falling apart, wallpapers and baseboards are missing and/or falling apart. Bathrooms were dirty, stained and not cleaned well. Bath tubs and shower heads no longer in good repair, and unfinished. Room phone observed to be dirty, and with grease like residues. First room we were put on had an overwhelming smell of mold and wet carpet stink that prompted us to ask the front desk to change room and request the first room to be closed and checked before it can be given to other guests.||||Overall, I believe La Quinta as a brand is on a decline and it shows with their properties, at least across Texas. I remember years ago when La Quinta properties were clean and in good condition, for me, their prices was justified then. Not anymore. Even if you are just looking for an overnight stay, everyone deserve a clean, sanitary rooms and properties that are in good repair. If one wants to stay in a property in the same condition, one can find a better deal in a motel but unfortunately with the same cleanliness (or lack thereof) and condition of the property such as with this La Quinta that is a 2-3 star accommodation. We cannot in good conscience recommend this property and other La Quinta at this moment.||||Looking for another hotel accommodation OR a motel if don’t mind and save you some money if its a short stay.

I’m going to be honest I had stay at another LQ the weekend before and had a very bad experience. Going into this reservation I wasn’t expecting the best. But I was wrong. I was checking in and was treated like royalty. You see I have been a member for many years. The manager that checked me in was very sweet and polite and upgraded my room. The room was clean and just what we needed after a long drive from California. I will definitely be staying there for now on. Thank you to the assistant manager. See you soon

The front desk staff is very welcoming and personable. The hotel is currently under new ownership or management so they are doing some work on the hotel (I’m assuming because I saw pallets of tiles outside in the parking lot). We were upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite which was a nice surprise.

The 1 bedroom suite is very spacious. The bathroom was very big and there were 2 entrances so you could access it from both the bedroom and the living area. My 2 issues were with the shower - you could only move one of the sliding glass doors (which meant you had to get inside of the shower to turn it on, thankfully the water didn’t stay cold for long) & the other issue is we couldn’t adjust the shower head (the water came out so forcefully that when I washed my face it felt like it was being pelted with tiny whips lol). But it definitely had good water pressure and the temperature of the water was great! Side note: housekeeping staff may want to get in the habit of checking the complimentary body wash, shampoo, and conditioner bottles in the shower - the body wash in our room was empty.

The bedroom was very big and had plenty of space. The bed was comfortable enough and the pillows were too soft but that happens at most hotels we stay at - I just need to remember to bring my own pillow). The only two issues with the bedroom were that there weren’t any outlets near the nightstands that weren’t being used. There was an alarm clock on one nightstand that had USB ports so that was helpful but the other nightstand didn’t have anything. The other issue was my husband found 2 long screws underneath the sheets on his side of the bed. He didn’t know they were there until he laid down and felt them. I did notify the front desk and spoke to the manager. I didn’t ask to be compensated or anything, I just wanted them to be aware and let their staff know.

My biggest issues were with the living room. While it was spacious and offered plenty of seating plus a workspace area, the furniture was filthy. I don’t think the glass plate in the microwave was clean as I felt something on it when I went to grab my coffee that I warmed up. The sink in the little kitchenette area was rusted pretty bad. But the furniture just made me feel icky.

The free breakfast had plenty of options. I liked that they had 4 waffle makers so the line moved fairly quick for the waffles. There were hot food options too - eggs & sausage. Plus, the usual cereal, oatmeal, breads/muffins, and fresh fruit.

The staff is nice and I think the new owner is in the process of making changes. I hope.

I recently stayed at La Quinta and overall had a positive experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay enjoyable. The hotel’s location was a highlight, with several fantastic restaurants within walking distance.

However, it’s worth noting that during my visit, the hotel was in the midst of renovations. While I understand the necessity for updates, the ongoing construction affected the overall aesthetic appeal of the property. Despite this, the accommodating staff and convenient location somewhat made up for the less-than-ideal visual experience. I look forward to returning once the renovations are complete for a fully enhanced stay.
